We strongly recommend that you never enter to clean if a dog is loose in an apartment. We have a dog policy that is shared with Neighbors that states that dogs should be secured in the apartment (in a crate or a room that will not be cleaned) or removed from the apartment during cleanings.
Our major concern is that either the dog or you, as a stranger in the dog's home, could be injured whether through an interaction or an attempt at escape.
While the dog may not seem like a threatening presence to you, there’s no way to guarantee that the reaction between the dog and you, a complete stranger, will be a positive one.
Please select 'Unable to Work' and select 'Unable to work due to pet' if you find a dog loose in the apartment.
